Micron Singapore Groundbreaking Ceremony

Micron Technology announced the inauguration of its first-of-a-kind HBM advanced packaging facility in Singapore, with a $7 billion investment to meet AI data center demand. The firm celebrated the inauguration with a ceremony witnessed by various leaders, including Mr Gan Kim Yong, Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister, Mr Png Cheong Boon, Minister for Trade and Industry of Singapore, and Sanjay Mehrotra, Micron’s CEO, who flew down to Singapore for the event.

A cafeteria was transformed into a 46-meter walk-in museum, featuring exhibition panels highlighting Micron’s rich history and custom built-in product showcases exhibiting its latest innovations. Overhanging lamps at every display lend elegance to the displays, creating an intimate and immersive atmosphere. Lights at the cafeteria were switched off to allow the displays to illuminate the space, elevating the whole viewing experience. The photo wall had a specialized pop-out of the upcoming facility fabricated on top of the panel, that was accentuated with neon light, adding interesting architectural details to the photo-taking zone.

A metallic sandbox was designed to reveal the new facility’s name for the groundbreaking ceremony stage when leaders inserted spades into the sand within. As part of the ceremony, we also designed an outdoor banner suspended above the leaders using cranes, along with a custom-built 3D logo placed in a sand mound, marking the grand reveal of the new building. Outdoor displays were also in place for guests to view in the vicinity.
