This year’s Pianobotanica pays tribute to Brazilian singer, songwriter and guitarist Joāo Gilberto, better known as the father of Bossa Nova. Performing some of his best-known works is the talented band INDIGO comprising of seasoned musicians in Singapore such as Dawn Ho (vocals), Munir Alsagoff (guitar), Mohamed Noor (drums), Kaye (saxophone) and Mario Serio (piano).
Collaterals for this year’s concert tribute are strongly illustration based. With the main focus on João, with stylised illustrations of flora, fauna and instruments surrounding him to convey the concert set in the beautiful Singapore Botanic Gardens.
Mark your calendar on 8 September and come on down with your picnic mats and enjoy a lovely evening of heartwarming and relaxing music for the soul with your friends and family.
Pianobotanica is an annual event commemorating Brazilian rhythms organised by the Embassy of Brazil and presented by official partners art-management.com, Tanora and a host of generous sponsors.
