The Undercommons: Fugitive Planning & Black Study

In this powerful series of essays by authors Stefano Harney and Fred Moten, The Undercommons: Fugitive Planning & Black Study takes a look at the social and political concepts of study, debt, planning and governance and much more.

The authors came to us to design the entire book. Working within the themes, the cover features two abandoned sofas with their backs against each other in an urban decayed landscape.

To drive home the theme further, this poignant image also manifested itself as section dividers inside the book.

Special care has been taken for the inner pages as well. With added emphasis on typography and layout design, we ensured that the contents are properly spaced and highly legible for a good read.
