SIFA 2024 Identity

The Singapore International Festival of Arts (SIFA) – The Anatomy of Performance continues with a people-focused theme of They Declare. While last year’s theme of Some People alluded to the coexistence of different people, this year’s was of amplified voices.

To represent amplification, the triangle, resembling a loudhailer, was chosen. Its flexible length allowed for varying voice volumes, presenting the possibility of one declaration influencing the voices of many.

Other graphic symbols representing voices were considered, including circles and Venn diagrams, to illustrate interactions, commonalities, differences and transformations.

The colour scheme departed from last year’s controlled tones, became vivid and loud, reflecting the voices eager to be heard.

A manual provides supporting agencies with a consistent image for SIFA, covering the logo lockup, typography, colours, and key visual graphics.
